HauntNighters Review: Dead Man’s Farm 🎃⭐ (2025) – Philadelphia, TN ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ - Overall Rating: Traditional Haunt Meet Hometown Charm
After a week of hitting larger national haunts, Dead Man’s Farm impressed us with its hometown authenticity and immersive charm. The farm balances classic scares with interactive fun, offering a lively and memorable atmosphere that appeals to both thrill-seekers and casual visitors.
The Trail of Lost Souls adds even more variety, weaving a corn maze full of distinct vignettes—from humorous clown encounters to disturbing depictions of demonic pregnancies, Children of the Corn vibes, and Mad Max-style torture sequences. Even decoy scarecrows and stationary threats are given purpose, making each section feel like part of a larger story.
The set design contributes heavily to immersion. Many areas have a deliberately homemade, lived-in aesthetic that feels gritty and authentic. Props, animatronics, and escape room elements incorporate antique or repurposed items, giving the space a sense of history. Surprise animatronics and larger-than-life "actormatronics" punctuate the haunts, keeping scares fresh and engaging.
The actors, collectively the Scream Squad, are a standout feature. Standard haunt experiences maintain a respectful distance, but occasional breaches of personal space create moments of real fright. The Touch Pass, however, raises the intensity dramatically, including brief “captivity” sequences that heighten fear.
Costumes and prosthetics fall within a strong mid-to-high quality range, with slasher night attire nearing professional-grade execution. Actor performance is consistently exceptional across all areas, including the queue, midway, and in-haunt environments. Clowns, roaming characters, and decoys are deployed with precision, effectively sustaining tension and ensuring every space feels active and unpredictable.
Crowd management is efficient and thoughtful. Guests are pulsed through attractions with minimal overlap. Staff are friendly and approachable, offering assistance and photo opportunities without being intrusive.
| Radio Station Deal | $18.50 per person | $0.84 / minute |

*Value increases considerably when accounting for Midway exploration and character interactions.
Destination Determination: Strong Regional – Elite Destination
