Ripley's Haunted Adventure 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3/5) - Overall Rating: High Investment, Skeleton Crew, Pacing Issues
We revisited Ripley's Haunted Adventure on December 7th, 2025, several years after our last visit, and found that the venue has received a significant overhaul. If you haven't been in the last few years, this will feel like a brand new experience, heavily bolstered by high-quality set pieces and props.
1. Staff & Actor Performance
The staff and actor situation was the primary weakness of the night, especially compared to the reported October experience.
Actors: We observed a skeleton crew of only two (possibly three) actors on duty. While the count was low, there is no fault on the actors; they were giving their all to cover the large space.
Guest Services: Guest relations were baffling. The security guard was unhelpful, even refusing to allow one of the children in our group to use the restroom before entry.
Pacing: We were poorly pulsed through with a father and his three sons, despite being the only groups in line. The family was determined to race through the house, which forced us to give up trying to keep pace and may have impacted our interactions with the minimal cast.
2. Haunt Experience & Theming
The theming and set design are the strongest aspects of the revamped attraction.
Remodel: Most of the haunt has been extensively remodeled, making it feel like a new experience if you haven't been recently.
Props: The venue has invested a ton of money into high-quality animatronics and set pieces from top brands like Distortions Unlimited and Poison Props. They now feature quite a few impressive, high-budget pieces.
Architecture: The entry elevator remains as decor, but sadly, it is no longer a working entry point.
Storyline: The haunt includes a unique introductory storyline, but the lack of a clear conclusion weakens the overall narrative experience.
Puzzles: There is a puzzle section included, but it appears to be on a timer, making the result of solving it irrelevant to the flow of the haunt.
3. Pacing & Flow
Runtime & Value: The attraction took approximately 15 minutes to complete. At a price of $16.99, this gives the haunt an excellent PD ratio of $1.13 per minute.
Final Verdict
Ripley's has successfully updated its environment with impressive, high-budget props and a major remodel. However, the lack of sufficient actors and the poor pulsing/guest relations severely undermine the investment. The decent value and new sets make this a fun way to kill some time, but the experience struggles due to operational choices.
The HauntNighters Takeaway
Ripley's is worth a visit primarily for the new, high-quality set pieces and animatronics that have been added in the last few years. The $1.13/minute value is great for a permanent, commercial haunt.
PRO TIP: Manage your expectations regarding the cast size and guest relations. The lack of actors really shows, and the experience is often dictated by the pace of the group immediately ahead of you.
